The Society on Environmental Pollution in Sierra Leone (SEPSiL)

A healthy society for people and nature

About Us

The Society on Environmental Pollution (SEPSiL) is a social enterprise, voluntary, nonprofit and non-governmental organisation established in 2024 and legally registered to work with local communities, state and non-state actors, including local and international networks in combating all forms of pollution in Sierra Leone. This is done using diverse appropriate approaches including research, education, strategic communication, policy advocacy, technology and innovation, social marketing, and direct site actions (climate resilience actions – facilitating community actions to sustainably manage solid and liquid waste, restoration of mined out pits and degraded terrestrial and marine landscapes, promotion of agroforestry and climate smart-agricultural initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and promote green-jobs in communities).
